Texas Lottery Executive Director resigns

Texas Lottery Commission Chairman announces resignation of Executive Director. In a press release yesterday, Chairman Robert G. Rivera announced Ryan Mindell resigned. No reason was given for the resignation. Mindell just completed his first year as Executive Director in February and has been under scrutiny by Texas lawmakers according to the Texas Tribune. Taking over the Chairman’s duties is the lottery’s Chief Financial Officer, Sergio Rey. At the Commission Board’s meeting next Tuesday, they will consider the selection process for a new Executive Director.
