A second bison jump site in Texas has been discovered. Texas Parks and Wildlife reports that Caprock Canyons near Lubbock is the site of the jump. Called the Nighthawk, the site is where Native Americans would drive bison off the cliffs and then harvest the meat and pelts. Archaeologists are working at the site analyzing data about the jump. The first known bison site in Texas is on private land near Langtry.
