Sunday, murder charges were dropped against Ashley Alice Castillo. Castillo was arrested on Saturday morning after she called 911 for a reported suicide at Singing Wind Drive. Officers found Damon Anthony Michael Tampke inside the apartment with a gunshot wound to the head. The investigators through evidence determined the shooting wasn’t a suicide leading to Castillo’s arrest. After further investigation, the charges were dropped against Castillo on Sunday. The investigation is ongoing. An autopsy is pending for Tampke to determine cause of death.
