Kerr County - pet owners ordered to relinquish injured pet

Kerrville Pet Owners relinquish their dog to Kerr County and ordered to pay the county for its care according to Kerrville Pets Alive. Consuela Zuniga and Justin Carrion had their animal, Midnight seized for medical care and treatment in October. The dog was found with neck lacerations. J.R. Hoyne, Justice of the Peace Precinct 2, Kerr County Texas, issued an Order to Sell or Dispose of Cruelly Treated Animal. The Order states that Kerr County Animal Control may conduct a public sale of the animal or adopt the animal out to a nonprofit animal protection organization. Judge Hoyne also ordered Zuniga and Carrion to pay over 26 hundred dollars for the care of the dog while in county custody. KPA had been funding the care of Midnight. Criminal charges may be filed against the owners.
