Kendall Co DA - Guatemalan man sentenced for child endangerment

A Guatemalan man, Jose Ramiro Monterroso Vasquez, (43) is sentenced to 21 months of confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Institutional Division according to the Kendall County Criminal District Attorney’s Office. On Thursday, Vasquez plead guilty to charges of Abandoning and Endangering a Child. The charges stemmed from August 2024, when Boerne Police Officers were dispatched to a disturbance at the Shady Rest trailer park on the 100 block of Clear Sky. While officers searched the residence for weapons allegedly involved in the disturbance, they discovered Vasquez’s eight-year-old daughter living in a trailer under severely neglectful conditions with no running water, faulty electrical wiring, and unsanitary conditions. The child was reunited with family. The trailer was deemed uninhabitable and removed.
