Fungal Meningitis

The Texas Department of State Health Services issues a warning against traveling to Matamoros Mexico for medical procedures. Suspected cases of fungal meningitis have surfaced in patients traveling to the Mexican border town for procedures involving epidurals which are injected near the spine. If you’ve received any type of surgical procedure there, visit your doctor suggests the department.
