One of the first wineries in the Hill Country wins a major award and it’s not in Fredericksburg. Singing Water Vineyards of Comfort took the Best of Class in the Cabernet Sauvignon $90 to $99 category at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. According to mysanantonio.com, this is the first time a Texas winery topped the wines from California vineyards. The owners, Andy and Missy Ivankovich have only owned the winery for 6 years. They set out to make the best Cab in the nation and met their goal in 5 years. Visit singingwater.com for information about the winery. (photo: Singing Water)
