Boerne PD awards officers with Lifesaving award

Boerne Police Department honors officers who rescued a drowning child late June at a Community Pool. Officers Jose Salazar, Stephen Moring. Cody Shelton and Zach Reed each received the Lifesaving Award and the American Heart Association Heart Saver Award. The boy, 3 years of age, was found unresponsive in the Trails of Herff Ranch Community Pool. A registered nurse on site started lifesaving procedures and the 4 officers took over the lifesaving efforts. The boy was taken to a hospital, treated then released.
