Boerne City Council has approved a design firm for Boerne Fire Station Number 2. Hoefer Welker beat out 12 other firms for the design. The budget is 1.36 million dollars. The design phase is 8 to 10 months. Followed by about a year for construction after bids for construction firms. The new fire station is slated to open in early 2026. A new pumper truck has been ordered and staffing has already begun. The new fire station location is at Esperanza and TX 46.
