Bandera City Council approves using eminent domain for new waste water treatment plant according to the Bandera Prophet. 83 year old Robert Preston’s property is one of 8 that the city will seize after propositions over the years to purchase. His parents bought the property when he was born. It’s Preston’s homestead now. He was last offered 200 thousand dollars in September for 2 acres on Old Hondo highway. The city needs a new waste water treatment facility as the current one sits in a floodplain.
