Bandera Co - Fire Marshal gives update on Saddle Fire

Bandera County Fire Marshal gave an update on the Saddle Fire that burned 17 acres recently. According to the Bandera Prophet, Jason Rutherford received the call about 3pm Friday, March 15th. Over 100 personnel responded to the fire. It started on Roundup Trail jumping to Pony Road and then Saddle Drive. Although, the case is still being investigated, Rutherford said the fire was started by people grinding up an old RV. The fire burned 11 structures, displaced 6 families and burned about 16 hundred tires.  Firefighters spent about 24 hours fighting the fire along with air support. Even though fences were cut for animals to escape, some burned in the fire.
