Well folks, it’s that time of year again. This weekend is the Stonewall Peach JAMboree! And The Ranch is beginning to look awfully peachy with all the parade decorations! The celebration is always held the third full weekend of June and this year will mark the 52nd year of Stonewall’s annual Peach JAMboree. Stonewall is located on the Pedernales River in Southeastern Gillespie County. Famed for the sweetest peaches in Texas, Stonewall is also home to some of the best wineries in the state.
This weekend will be ripe with things to do! Friday Night are all of the opening ceremonies. The gates to the festival will open with the 1st heat of Mutton Bustin’. Registration begins at 6pm and the show starts at 7. The Peach Queen contestants will also be introduced, if you didn’t hear them on our radio this morning, they are gorgeous and wonderful Southern girls! The Friday night dance with Jody Nix performing and the party rolls on until 1 a.m.
Saturday, the morning kicks off with a Cowboy breakfast at 7a.m. with the parade at 9. There will be live music performances throughout the day as well as multiple events throughout the day across the grounds.
Stonewall is the birthplace of the 36th President of the United States, President Lyndon B. Johnson, with many landmarks to visit. Join us on this jam packed weekend as we celebrate the summer in peachy delicious tradition!
